Discord and your intake code

Link your game account to our Discord: it links itself, or our Discord bot gives you an intake code for the character creator.

Your game account and your Discord account belong together. Linking them gives you the Linked Survivor role, opens the rest of the community, and lets your story, playtime and clan roles follow you.

Connect to A.P.O.C with the Discord desktop app running and logged in. The first connect links the two accounts, and the character creator's intake file shows Record verified ✓, so there is nothing to type.

Your intake code

If the accounts aren't linked yet, the intake file asks for your intake code in the INTAKE AUTH. field on the Identity page, where you enter your name, sex, date of birth and occupation. The code restores your record to your name, and that links the accounts.

  • In our Discord, open #rules and accept the rules.
  • Press Request my intake code, or type /intake. The bot answers privately with a 6-character code like K7M-4XQ. Only you can see it.
  • In game, type it into the Intake code field and press Sign & continue. Capitals and the dash don't matter. The file is stamped Record restored and the mirror opens.

If the code doesn't take

  • Doesn't match: check it for typos, or request a new one.
  • Expired: a code lasts 15 minutes. Request a new one.
  • Already used, or a newer code was issued: each code works once, and asking for a new one cancels the old one. Use the newest.
  • Belongs to a different Discord account: the code only works for the account that asked for it.
  • Too many attempts: wait a few minutes, then try again.

If our Discord bot is down, the intake file lets you continue without the code. Link later in ESC › Settings › Discord, which has the same Intake code field. Accounts linked to the wrong Discord can only be moved by staff: open a ticket in Discord.
