The Codex
Every note, tape, photograph and file a survivor picks up goes into the Codex. Sign in and this is your survivor's own journal, read from the game. Records you haven't found stay blank, and each one only tells you where to start looking.
Finish a category for its title and a one-time reward. Find all seven for The Archivist.
How records turn up
Picked up in the world, earned in the story, heard on the radio with the right parts, taken off a boss, or learned the first time you kill something new. Photograph an infected and show it to Doc Reyes, and its page fills in too.
Schematics inside
Some pages have a plan tucked into them, like the Rust Kings price sheet with a pipe charge diagram stapled to the back. Study it from your inventory to learn the recipe.
No spoilers here
Signed out, this page only prints records from the start of the story. Signed in, it prints the pages you have found yourself and nothing past them: the rest stay sealed. Talk about later pages in the act spoiler channels on the Discord.
